Scott Van Worth, Superintendant for the Soper Independent School District, reached out to NetWell Noise Control for help in lowering the noise levels in the gymnasium at Soper High School. Scott was fielding complaints about the level of crowd noise, the lack of clarity to voice during gym class, and the inability of the space to host a variety of events due to poor room acoustics.
Echo Control
NetWell responded with its standard request for room dimensions, and in turn, generated the Room Analysis report which defined the framework for the treatment and quoted out the project. As is the case with any gym with an exposed joist metal deck ceiling, acoustic VET Baffles were quoted for the project as they are a class A fire rated and more cost effective per square foot than the perimeter wall panels. The baffles are designed to capture and convert the echoes from the gym, delivering back greater clarity to the original sound and lower crowd noise.
