Acoustic Foam Wedges

VCut acoustic foam wedges are 2’x2′ squares cut from Class A fire rated melamine foam and one of many acoustic foam options we offer. By placing these sound absorbing foam wedges perpendicular to one another during their installation, a decorative parquet look is created for a pleasing visual presentation to your room. These studio foam wedges work to capture and convert the unwanted sound wave reflections from your room, cleaning out your background sound, and lowering your level of overall noise in the room. Available in 2”, 3” or 4” thickness. (See below for how to install acoustic panels DIY.)

Parquet Design

VCuts offer ideal acoustic foam wedge panel solutions for applications including studios, recording, music rooms, vocal booths, radio stations, TV studios, broadcast studios and more.   The VCuts offer a decorative parquet visual presentation across the expanse of a wall or ceiling, and are available in white, light gray or dark gray as your color choices. The key to the sound values you are seeking rests not in where you place the panels in  your room, but ensuring that you do not under treat the room to begin with. For accuracy in your panel count, we recommend you consult with our help desk or submit a Room Analysis to define your panel count.

Pyramids

Most of our VCuts clients are somehow related to the music industry: recording, broadcasting, voice over, rehearsal, musicians, radio stations, and at-home music rooms.   Many also opt for the Pyramid foam panel, which is cut from the same melamine acoustic foam, but delivers a different sculpted look to your room once installed.

Shipping & Installation

VCut foam acoustic panels are boxed and shipped via ground transport or LTL common carrier depending on the size of your sound panel order.   Be sure to inspect your package upon delivery for any damage that may have occurred in transit, and sign for it as such.

We recommend using a heavy-duty water-based construction adhesive such as Titebond GREENchoice or similar.  Plan for an application rate of approximately (1) 10oz tube per 32 square feet.  Prior to application, the mounting surface should be smooth, clean, dry, solid, and free from dust, oil and residues. Uneven surfaces should be leveled.  Panels can be easily cut if necessary with a sharp utility knife.  Adhesive should be spread evenly over the entire back surface of the panel. Panels are positioned into place, then pressed to the surface and adjusted.  Be sure to provide adequate ventilation to ensure quick bonding.  We recommend a test adhesion in a small area before proceeding with full installation.
